We Are from Fresh Wave 2022《鮮浪潮．語 2022》Organised by Fresh Wave, the annual Fresh Wave International Short Film Festival provides funding support and a platform for showcasing their work, develops resources and channels to assist emerging filmmakers, striving towards a more dynamic local film industry. 每年一度「鮮浪潮國際短片節」(由鮮浪潮電影節有限公司主辦),旨在推動本地電影及短片創作,發掘及培養具潛質的年輕電影創作人才。

EP01 Simon Says, Simon Says《呼～》, Walk With The Storm《風雨中人》Simon Says, Simon Says《呼～》Director: SIU Chi-yan  導演：邵知恩Amid changing times, as friends and relatives are leaving the city one after the other, our once familiar neighbourhood is becoming foreign. Yeung Por Por has her luggage packed for the one-way flight out of the city with her son. During her final hours in Hong Kong, she goes to the Wan Chai seaside and is shocked to find a barricaded construction site. Following Rhea, her domestic helper to the latter’s Filipino community, Yeung Por Por realises what it means to be uprooted from one’s homeland. Subtly and wistfully, the film relates the difficulties and dilemmas of migration, closing with ‘You Said We’d Be Back’ by the folk-rock duo My Little Airport. 時代變幻，人物流離，熟悉的城市與鄰里逐漸變樣，要好的親朋夥伴接連四散；在這動蕩關口，是甚麼決定我們的去或留？

楊婆婆裝好大箱小箱，準備跟兒子離開香港，臨行前想去看海，但奈何她念想中的美麗灣仔海旁，已變成層層圍封的工地。家傭Rhea陪楊婆婆在城中遊歷，又帶她去傭工群體的集會禮拜；從別鄉背井的Rhea身上，楊婆婆彷彿找到對前程的感悟。電影淡然書寫離家的艱難抉擇與愁緒，在生活細節中道出對根源地的不捨和濃情，片末My Little Airport一曲〈你說之後會找我〉尤其點題，滲出茫茫飄泊的孤寂感。

Walk with the Storm《風雨中人》Director: LAM Tung-hei  導演：林東曦In a small town, the funeral of a matriarch brings about the reunion of family members, many returning to the village after leading new lives elsewhere, some no longer speaking the language of the native land. With the passage of time, the big clan becomes fragmented as members, like other modern Chinese in mainland China, face changes in lives, ideals, and family structures. The occasion becomes a hot ground for deals and negotiations that are inevitable amid the rapid development of China, where family members prosper while relationships become calculated. Still, a funeral procession amid an impending storm requires them, already down different paths, to walk together. 人心不古，尤其在急促發展的社會中，家庭關係漸次崩壞，親情人倫往往也得機關算盡。

原本平靜的鄉間小鎮，因一場喪禮而熱鬧起來。大家庭中的各個成員聚首一堂，沒有哀慟，更沒有呼天搶地的嚎哭，有的只是互相計算，暗中猜度。兄友弟恭講信修睦，早已讓路給金錢與利益。一場喪禮，映照的是當代中國市井眾生相，家族的風風雨雨，能等得到放晴嗎？導演林東曦曾將回鄉探親的所見所聞拍成紀錄片，《風雨中人》找來大量操鶴佬話的演員，展示相當接地氣的家族群戲，同時抒發導演對城鄉變遷和矛盾的感懷。

EP02 Arrow Sworn《紅伶宴》, Golden Sword Woman《金刀女俠》Arrow Sworn《紅伶宴》Director: Andre CHEUNG  導演：張浩霆Brilliantly played by LAW Ka-ying, the revered Skyblade hails from a prestigious family of Cantonese opera singers. Pressured into performing opposite the sponsor’s child at the celebrated Red Banquet in return for financial support, the reluctant Skyblade is further taken aback when he realises that Jade is a girl slated to play a male lead role in a predominantly masculine cast. However, as Jade’s talent becomes apparent to Skyblade, a bond is formed between the two during rehearsals, and a mutual understanding that both have been sacrificing their dreams and passions out of duty towards the family. When Jade reveals a shocking resolution to take control of her life, it is up to Skyblade to decide their fate on stage.紅伶宴，宴紅伶，唱做念打耀華堂。

艱辛苦練唱出功架，戲夢人生是否從此如願？名伶蓋劍天受委員會主席所託，訓練其兒李玉演出，為免資金被削，無奈之下答應主席要求。全男班的咬箭結拜，本來不適合女生來演，直至他發現李玉的過人天賦，才決定順勢而行。隨着排演開始，蓋劍天分享習戲的心路歷程，李玉亦相告積壓內心多時的秘密，二人始覺同病相憐，長期活在別人的陰影下，要忠於自己，即使踏上台板，也必須走出自己的台步。羅家英本色演出，台上英姿颯爽，台下語重心長，一派正氣凜然，相當奪目。

Golden Sword Woman《金刀女俠》Director: YIP Pang-hoi  導演：葉鵬海After his success as a martial arts film star, WONG Joi made a fatal decision to write and direct his debut feature Golden Sword Woman, with his beloved wife Mei-fung starring as the eponymous heroine. Years later, a senile, demented WONG, who keeps blabbering about his ‘groundbreaking’ debut, is being taken care of by his grudging son Ho. The film parodies the visual style of the Shaw Brothers martial arts films to tell the story of a contemporary father-and-son conflict and reconciliation. Golden Sword Woman travels in time and between both sides of the silver screen, between the romantic world of swordsmen and the unpromising, secular family life.到底念念不忘，是否必有迴響？

武打明星王載紅極一時，膽大心雄的他籌劃自編自導，起用妻子美鳳拍攝新穎破格的《金刀女俠》，這決定卻將令他抱憾一生。多年之後，年邁失智的王載被老人院拒收，與他交惡的兒子國豪滿不情願地把他接回；老王載以為自己還在黃金歲月，滿口都是關於《金刀女俠》的豪言壯語。電影戲仿七十年代邵氏武俠片的視覺風格，運用舊年代銀幕裡外的恩怨情仇，墊托起如今父子的嫌隙與諒解。時空交錯，虛實夾纏，浪漫驚險的武俠江湖與難堪的世俗家庭事互相對照，寫出兩代之間的難解親情。

EP03 Winter Solstice《過冬》, 36649《36649》Winter Solstice《過冬》Director: SZETO Ka-wing  導演：司徒嘉詠  he Winter Solstice has been for the Chinese an important family occasion; however, will this time-honoured tradition become obsolete? The children head back to their family home in the country to see their elderly mother. All seems well on the surface, but each faces their own crisis and difficulty: The eldest brother struggles to raise several kids; the well off second sister plans to leave Hong Kong; estranged from her husband, the younger sister keeps up appearances; and the youngest brother commits to the difficult career as a farmer. The cheerful, animated conversation at the dinner table is overshadowed by simmering anxieties. 每年冬至，家族成員齊集「做冬」，是連結親情的重要傳統；然而，這傳統會否有過時褪色的一日？

一家四兄弟姊妹回到偏遠的田間老家，與年邁母親團圓過節；看似兒孫滿堂、融洽相敬的大家庭，其實每人各有難處困境。大哥在家中要主持大局又要背負養兒重擔、二姊滿手厚禮餽贈母親卻一心盤算移民、三妹與丈夫疏遠可是在家人面前不肯吐露、偏執的小兒子固守田野以當農夫為榮。一場熱鬧的飯局，暗藏點滴唏噓失落。馮素波演繹為子女掏心掏肺的母親真摯動人，與陳湛文、吳鳳鳴等演員的溫情互動，煞是好看。

36649《36649》Director: AQ LEE Man-chun  導演：李文浚AQNight-shift security guard 36649 is a model employee who will be dismissed on New Year’s Day. On the very same day, street light 36649 is to be removed. Dismayed by the prospect of losing his soulmate, human 36649 reaches out to street light 36649 through a mysterious phone number, and is invited to a local-global journey amid the pandemic. A journey of the two 36649s unfolds as they travel around the world filled with wonders, which is also a voyage of self-discovery for human 36649. A loving tribute to WONG Kar-wai, the short is stylised and loaded with references to the beloved director of Hong Kong.疫情肆虐旅行無望，唯有在香港尋找他鄉，望梅止渴，遙想醉人美景。

夜更保安員36649 得知自己會在元旦日被炒，而他的情感寄託，編號36649 的街燈也將在同日拆卸。兩個36649 偶然透過神秘電話號碼接上，保安員更應街燈之邀，踏上一段在香港「環遊世界」的旅程。保安員和「觸不到的她」同遊，兩個都市寂寞靈魂相濡以沫，路途上互相了解，也讓保安員在刻板困頓的日常中重新認識和發現自我。風格化的敍事設定，對於數字和期限的執着，鳥籠的光影與周慕雲髮型的再現，處處流露導演對王家衛的致意與巧思。

EP04 The Rest《煨燼》, Ember in the Land of Nothingness《餘燼》The Rest《煨燼》 Director: Teddy TSUI Chiu-fai導演：崔紹輝Ashes are all that remain when someone dies, as the rest of us carry on with the remembrance of the past, in the form of things that continue to burden us. Granny Di makes a meagre living out of recycling cardboard and found objects on the street, carrying the ashes of her late husband wherever she goes. As the going gets tough, she is reduced to stealing and selling sacrificial offerings from the funeral home. Ellen Liu plays the desolate and desperate Granny Di, rendering a lively and moving performance with a human touch. The short brings us through the nooks and crannies of Hung Hom district, chronicling a sorrowful tale about forsaken old age. 人死如燈滅，火化後只留一把灰燼，但這些灰燼，對於思念的人來說，可能就是生存的最大意義。

娣婆婆送走過世老伴後，在街頭撿拾紙皮棄物為生，但仍然將亡夫的骨灰時刻帶在身邊。娣婆婆為生活所迫，無奈下竟不諱回收祭祀用過的生果切雞，在街頭兜售，討個十元八塊。生活孤寂困苦，但於娣婆婆而言，仍苦不過對長別老伴的相思追憶。廖愛玲傾力出演潦倒但一往情深的娣婆婆，極具生活質感而動人；電影穿梭紅磡區的大街小巷，在地道市井中譜奏出一闋老無所依的悲歌。

Ember in the Land of Nothingness《餘燼》Director: Jas PUN Man-yat  導演：潘敏逸At first glance, Grandma MUI and Uncle CHEUNG look just like another ordinary elderly couple loitering outside a school wall. Grandma MUI is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and her conditions deteriorate notably after the death of her granddaughter Ka-ching from a fall off the school building, with the school officials suspected of negligence and being dishonest in their testimony. Stricken by grief, Grandma MUI’s mind falls into complete chaos as memories, delusions and reality mesh together. Uncle CHEUNG, indirectly connected to Ka-ching’s death, lacks the courage to tell the truth. As an act of atonement, he takes care of Grandma MUI even when the future looks bleak… 烈焰留下的餘燼，能否成為靜待復燃的曙光？

梅婆婆的孫女在學校離奇墮樓身亡，校方卻延誤報警，作供時更是謊話連篇，最終令孫女家程被裁定死因存疑。希望查出真相的梅婆婆，在悲痛之餘，同時面對腦退化症夾擊。和家程之死有間接關係的張伯，卻一直沒勇氣拆解真相，唯有負起照顧梅婆婆的責任當作贖罪。當一切看似無望，梅婆婆的認知逐漸崩解，唯一的盼望，就是希望世界沒有把他們遺忘。區嘉雯和葉景文搭配演出一對白首相知，情感細膩內斂，面對逝者已矣的殘酷現實，演來更平添一份滄桑無常之感。

EP05 The Kowloon Emperor《九龍皇帝》, Trek of an Extinct Bird《林中無廬》The Kowloon Emperor《九龍皇帝》Director: Willis WONG Man-chak  導演：王文澤One day, the Kowloon Emperor TSANG Man-choi pays a visit to OR Siu-yat, his guard dog of previous life and a current staff of the Community Improvement Bureau, with an incredible story and request. According to TSANG, the Bureau’s plan to redevelop To Kwa Wan will destroy an ancient seal and unleash a vengeful evil spirit, Princess Kwong Tak, who was murdered by TSANG’s ancestor 400 years ago. To save themselves OR must assist TSANG to destroy the evil spirit. In this rare gem of a martial arts/fantasy short film, the impossible battle between human and spirit is playfully visualised.「九龍皇帝」曾文財遇上「轉世看門狗」柯少一，並警告他將面臨殺身之禍。

全因土瓜灣榮光街遭社區優化局納入重建範圍，準備進行清拆工程，而該處地底封印着曾文財祖宗四百年前殺害的戰後亡魂——廣德公主。這位厲鬼公主誓要將二人與土瓜灣的舊建築一起安葬。半信半疑的柯少一，就與阿財踏上斬妖除魔之路。本片乃鮮浪潮中，一直甚為罕見的天師捉妖式類型片體裁，玩味十足之餘，拍攝團隊可謂扭盡六壬，每場的喜劇和動作設計得滑稽絕妙，精心炮製出一場意想不到的人鬼大戰。

Trek of an Extinct Bird《林中無廬》Director: Gloria HO Lok-yee 導演：何樂怡Traumatised by the doomed rights movement in Garan, former activist Decem seeks refuge and solitude in the forest, fleeing his homeland and all those he held dear. Relief is however short-lived. As time passes, nostalgia and loneliness creep upon the exiled youth. Decem remains trapped in recurrent nightmares of the past and continues to plunge into despair, living with a constant sense of peril. The challenges of living in the forest along with the wildfire in the mountains eventually make him reconsider the path ahead. Mirroring the disturbed youth’s inner turmoil with the sinister wild nature, the psychological drama relates the tormented state of the exiled body and soul. 無力感從來就像空氣，如影隨形。

青年阿十一直參加迦蘭的維權運動，然而局勢總是不似如期。當恐懼來襲，他選擇獨自到森林避居，離開曾經孕育他的迦蘭。在森林中漫無目的地遊走，前路晦暗不明，活着就彷彿只餘下絕望與無奈。無以名狀的孤獨和危機感揮之不散，時時刻刻考驗他的生存意志。野火燒不盡，窮途是否末路，絕境何以求生，答案，或許還得靠自己尋覓。以荒漠的野外環境畫面拼湊散漫的精神狀態，林中無廬，魂不守舍，天下之大，原來不但無容身之所，連心靈亦無棲息之處。

EP06 Mommies《愛的輪候碼》, Time, and Time Again《送別》Mommies《愛的輪候碼》Director: WONG Wan-sze  導演：王韻詩Mommies tells an emotionally compelling and complex story of two interwoven mother-and-son relationships. Sally works as a hostess, a kind of life her unruly son Keith loathes and from which he seeks refuge through self-harm. Keith looks with longing for the seemingly happy and loving relationship between mentally-ill Mandy and her son Luke. Yearning to become part of the other family, Keith wishes Mandy were his mother instead. But will that ever be possible? The sympathetic Mandy and Luke try to help Keith, and when they think things are looking better... Subtly told, Mommies captures the human condition of Hong Kong people’s lives seldom seen. 上公屋要輪候，去醫院又要輪候，那麼母愛同樣有優先等次之分嗎？

以陪唱打牌為業的公園大媽莎莉，有個桀驁不馴的兒子啓民（由《全民造星II》的黃梓豪飾演，演出尤其亮眼）。他厭惡親母的行為並亟須擺脫她那種顛三倒四的生活，同時跟患精神病的母親善明和其兒子樂樂要好，並希望善明能把他視如己出。當善明和樂樂嘗試接納啓民，卻沒料到啓民那顆躁動的心，早已冰封三尺，非一日之寒……戲中西九龍中心溜冰場上那被劃破的冰痕，宛如少年在自己的脈搏上留下的烙印，一道又一道破損得無法修補。

Shot in black and white, this mysterious thriller employs the stylistic elements of neo-noir and horror to recreate our urban terrors of missing people. 一名叫燕琳的失蹤少女，如詛咒般教探員Max念念不忘，是他職涯上最懊悔的案件。

Max按圖索驥去到一所廢校調查另一宗神秘失蹤案件，卻發現邪教祭祀和凶殺案留下的鬼魅痕跡。霎眼之間，Max從廢校來到一家格調優雅的酒吧，昔日的工作夥伴與燕琳都出現在他眼前。此際，失蹤懸案更形撲朔迷離，而真正的元兇卻步步迫近……到底Max可否保持信念，抓緊心中的救命稻草，來面對過去一切？本片的冷峻黑白攝影和跳躍剪接，令觀眾徘徊在真假難辨的意識之間，並置身於都市神秘失蹤案的恐怖感之中。

EP07 The Handbook of Suicide Prevention《防止自殺手冊》The Handbook of Suicide Prevention《防止自殺手冊》Director: Jonathan WONG Ka-nok  導演：王嘉諾Death is a moment whose reverberation endures for the living. Three students from the Audio-Visual team are shooting a documentary on a schoolmate who has recently committed suicide. It is intended to convey a ‘positive message’ to the entire school about the importance of life. During interviews, the students notice some discrepancies in the testimonies, particularly those by a prefect and a teacher, while friends of the deceased seem to be withholding some inconvenient truth. Should the team pursue the truth, or act as the school’s propagandist? Filmed in a mocumentary style, The Handbook of Suicide Prevention challenges and exposes the hypocrisy and suppression that haunt adolescence.死亡可能是短暫一瞬，但它帶給生者的波動與糾纏，卻是複雜而漫長。

三位中學影視組的同學，正在拍攝一部紀錄片，懷念早前墮樓身亡的女同學，並藉此為學校宣傳愛惜生命不自殺的「正面訊息」。

然而在追訪的過程中，影視組同學發現某些老師與風紀在鏡頭前後表裡不一，曾與逝去同學相熟的舊友又好像言不由衷。被壓下去的真相在校園內外逐漸浮上水面，影視組到底要披露真相還是甘於做校方喉舌？電影採取偽紀錄片方式，糅合訪問片段以及鏡頭前後顯見差異的場面，在虛實辯證中探問封閉制度對年輕人的壓迫。
